Landruk is a small gurung village situated in the northern part, about 24 kilometers away from Pokhara. Public transport to Landruk leaves from Hari Chowk 3 times a day. The first bus leaves around 9 AM, the second around 12 PM and the third around 3 PM. It takes about 2 hours to reach there from Pokhara. The alternative option is to hire a private transport. A magnificent view of Annapurna and Ghandruk, another gurung village of the Annapurna Rural Municipality can be seen from Landruk. Landruk is a small village but has a rich representation of Gurung culture and architecture. Moreover, Landruk is also known for its unique and daring honey hunting culture. Honey hunting is an old tradition of the community living in this region. The gurung community has its own rituals and way of honey hunting. Before proceeding to harvest, they worship their ancestral gods for a good harvest and safe return. The warm hospitality of the Gurung community, spectacular view of the Himalayas and the incredible culture makes Landruk an attractive destination of Annapurna Region.
