Public vehicles can be found from Pokhara and jeeps can go all the way to Ghandruk buspark. From there the walk to the village starts. The village is around 4 to 5 hours drive from Pokhara which makes it a great weekend getaway destination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ghandruk is a common destination for trekkers in the Annapurna region (especially for Annapurna Base Camp trekkers). Some choose to reach Ghandruk by vehicle and start their Annapurna Base Camp trek from here. Other popular trails from Ghandruk include Landruk, Ghorepani PoonHill trek, Mardi Himal Base Camp, Tadapani, Kimchi and the Hidden Lake. The majestic Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre glorifies the beauty of Ghandruk village. Ghandruk being majorly a gurung village has many traditional homestays run mostly by Gurung women and hosts a number of museums that showcases gurung culture, tradition, food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the major highlights of Ghandruk are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meshram baraha: This holy place is around an hour uphill passing through the old Ghandruk &amp; Kot village. It is a moderate hike that allows a clear view of the Himalayas, surrounding villages, cultivating lands, various walking trails and dense forest. The location of this sacred temple where local residents come to offer daily prayer is a stunning view point for any visitor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ghandruk Tea Garden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ghandruk Cultural Museum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Old Gurung Museum: The museum from inside is an old typical Gurung house that reflects Gurung livelihood.
